Art Service

A couple of weeks ago we were given a great opportunity to start a service for SOMC (Society of Moral Charities, visually handicapped). Myself and a group of grade 9's and 7's help the clients create a variety of arts and crafts. The challenge is what is appropriate for someone who has visual difficulties. So far they have engraved into foam board and printed in response to the texture of shells, created textural collages and created clay models reacting to music. I have been really impressed with the interaction between clients and students and think that this service is going to be very worthwhile for all.

These are some of the resulting collages.
